Human relationships always help us to carry on because they always presuppose further developments, a future – and also because we live as if our only task was precisely to have relationships with other people.
Albert Camus
Interpersonal relationships cut across every facet of life: from the most casual of acquaintances to the deepest bonds of friendship, marriage and familial ties. We meet people in repeated daily interactions in the course of work, social life and often through shared interests. Primarily, interpersonal connections start in the home, existing between spouses, cohabiting and non-cohabiting couples, parents and children, and between siblings, whether from blended or nuclear families, and extended family members.
Unfortunately, sometimes relationships experience challenges – like conflicts, misunderstandings resulting from poor communication, financial problems, illness, sexual dysfunction, or the failure of one party to meet his/her obligations. These problems and more, if not dealt with, may fracture relationships temporarily or permanently.
Wholelife Counselling and Training Services provides attentive, empathetic, personalised counselling in a confidential, and safe space that allow people the freedom to explore problems and roadblocks in their relationships and set a plan of action to achieve greater self-awareness, and longterm happiness.
Depending on the nature of the issues involved and what clients want to achieve, clients may undergo counselling in a few sessions. In other instances, the situation may require an extended period of support.
Counselling may take varying forms, combining one-on-one and group methods. The design of your programme of therapy will be based on the results of your first consultation. Should we move forward, a session schedule is created. Sometimes at the request of the clients, we may meet more often as we work together towards reaching their desired short- and longterm goals.
Relationship problems? It would be our privilege to help you find a solution.
